What has DoréDevelopment done?

DoréDevelopment has worked closely with Focon for several years on the development of next generation controller platform for train information systems. DoréDevelopment has worked on different generations of harware, developed by Focon Electronic Systems A/S. The primary areas of development consists of hardware bring-up, testing and development of a complete embedded Linux BSP for Focon hardware. How was the cooperation executed?

The daily work with the development of the BSP was essentially executed in the office in Hadsund. This was chosen to ensure the spreading of knowledge about customer and to exploit the various developers' skills in the best possible way. This has been of great benefit to both Focon Electronic Systems A/S and DoréDevelopment.

DoréDevelopment worked according to Scrum, which means that planning work was ongoing and based on a prioritized list of backlogs to be solved. Focon Electronic System prioritized the list of backlogs and DoréDevelopment worked in sprints of approximatly one month duration. The daily contact was via e-mail and Bugzilla, with regular meetings either by telephone or on-site at Focon Electronic System in Sønderborg.
