Event-Danmark A/S Who is the customer? Event-Denmark A/S is a professional event-organizer based on the founders' own experiences from the music industry, with more than 25 years of experience they both have a thorough knowledge of conducting events. In recent years Event-Denmark A/S professionalised the approach to event-planning and today stands as a strong player on the Danish event market. As part of the Event-Denmark A/S concept the founders has developed tomorrows jukebox, Sir Juke, which has been achieved through the cooperation between Event-Denmark A/S and DoréDevelopment. Since Event-Denmark A/S was established DoréDevelopment have had a close cooperation between the two technology companies. Much of the cooperation has been on the Sir Juke concept and has among other things contained the following elements: Overall Technological counseling Embedded Linux platform development MySQL integration and database design Supplier Management (Flash Designer) Software download system for production Autonom remote update system (OpenVPN) Project management in SW development and support Technical back-end support How was the cooperation executed? DoréDevelopment was contacted by Event-Denmark A/S to investigate Sir Juke concept and provide a proposal for how the realize the product. Event-Denmark A/S and DoréDevelopment worked together on a preliminary study on the Sir Juke concept, to identify the technological opportunities. Event-Denmark A/S was interviewed on the demands for functionality and features, as well as their initial technological knowledge. From Event-Denmark A/S wishes DoréDevelopment made a feasebility study and made the initial technological choices about the creation of user interface software and hardware platform, etc. To ensure a good operation stability and freedom in relation to hardware choices, it was chosen to create an embedded Linux software platform with MySQL as the information database. The wishes for the user interface were many and included also some requests for future expansion, so it was chosen to have a full-screen Flash Player as the basis for user interface. DoréDevelopment made a network cooperation with Lars Holmgaard around design and implementation of user interface. The cooperation was made with DoréDevelopment having the full contract liability on software development, with Lars Holmgaard as a subcontractor.
